About the blend

A morning blend of bitter roots and rose. Built to move the liver, settle the gut, and start the day with something real.

Two deep roots, a softening flower, and a binding vine. Earthy and a little bitter at the front, with rose pulling it open at the finish. Made for the first cup of the day, before food.

    Dandelion Root

A bitter root for the liver and the morning.

Dug from the yard in early spring or late fall, when the root holds the most. Bitter, slightly sweet when roasted.

Long used to wake up the liver, move stuck digestion, and clear the system after a heavy meal or a slow week.

    Fresh

    Burdock Root

A long, deep root for the blood.

Burdock pulls minerals up out of the soil into a long, stubborn taproot. Earthy and a little sweet.

A traditional blood mover and skin herb — used in spring tonics for centuries to help the body shed what winter held onto.

    Rose

Petals for softness, in any blend.

Picked in the morning before the heat takes the oils. Rose softens the edges of stronger herbs and is traditionally used to ease grief, irritation, and the kind of tension that lives behind the chest.

It belongs in every blend it touches.

  • Sarsaparilla — fresh
    Fresh

    Sarsaparilla

A grounding root that holds the blend together.

Sarsaparilla is a vining plant whose root has been used across many traditions — Caribbean, South American, Appalachian — as a blood cleanser and a binder. Quietly sweet, slightly resinous.

It carries the other herbs and gives the blend its bottom note.
